usted vs ustedes

when you ask a question like “do you offer discounts” there is no indication you are asking one or many people. so do i assume “you” will always be more than one person?

Con ustedes mismos vs consigo mismosIn this question: You should be at peace with yourself, Deberían estar en paz ___ (ustedes). The correct answer is given as "con ustedes mismos" How is this a Subject pronoun? With the preposition "con", shouldn´t the answer be "consigo mismos"?

Gracias Silvia for reminding me to find time to read this classic!

I have had 2 copies of this wonderful novel ready and waiting to be read for some time now; one English copy and the other in Spanish.

For anyone that may be interested, Netflix are showing the adaptation of this fabulous story- it was released on the 17th I believe. It's my Netflix film for this weekend :))

¿Podemos decir también: “No hay baile en el mundo más español que un pasodoble”? Entiendo que no es exactamente igual pero significa lo mismo, ¿no?

Había vs. hubo

In the quiz, I selected "Había muchos niños en el parque." This was marked wrong, rather, "Hubo muchos niños en el parque."

I'm wondering why my answer was marked wrong, given that one of the examples in the lesson is nearly identical to my answer: "Había un perro en el parque."

Two conjugations?In the question, Yo ________ llegado pronto a trabajar esta tarde, why is llegar conjugated? I thought if the first verb ( in the blank is the conjugated form of haber) is conjugated the second verb is left in the infinitive form.

No puedo salir hoy pero saldré mañana

Hi,

The above sentence seems to satisfy the requirements for sino: the first part is negative and the second part is a substitution.

Can you please explain why is requires pero and not sino.
