I imagine you're referring to the part where it's giving examples of "indirect interrogatives". The form is like a statement but they are indirect questions using interrogatives. They do "hide" the question inside:
Ella no sabe cómo ha llegado hasta aquí.
She doesn't know how she got here.
"¿Cómo ha llegado hasta aquí?"
