Is the preposition "a" used for other cases in Spanish besides expressing a part of the day?
why do you add "me" as in me comería, or me compraría. Just for emphasis? Can one do away with the "me"?

Is there a reason why the construction “llegar a conocerse” doesn’t work in this context?
I felt that the text “get to know each other” required something that would capture the process over time [llegar a], rather than simply the reflexive verb [conocerse], or is it simpler than that? Saludos. John
I am having trouble understanding the difference between "perderse" and "perder" in the context of missing an opportunity. For example, if you were talking to someone about not coming to a move with you, could you say "perdiste la oportunidad de ver la pelicula"? Could you also say "te perdiste la pelicula"? Would both of these be correct?

I am trying to understand my Spanish textbook better. One of the vocab phrases is "faltar mucho tiempo para", which the book translates to mean "to have much time left" in english. Also they define "faltar poco tiempo" as meaning "to be short of time for". I thought faltar meant "to miss" so I am just confused on both of these translations and what faltar means in this context.
Use "recordar" for "to remind of..." ( = idea brought to your mind)
Use "recordar que" for "to remind that..."Eso ________ tengo que recoger a mi hijo del colegio en 5 minutos. That reminds me that I have to pick up my son from school in 5 minutes.(HINT: it conveys something is brought to her mind)
