It appears from your examples that “se” is optional, although I don’t see that explicitly stated.  For example, “ Ayer me depilé las piernas.” doesn't have “se” in it.

In the lesson, I answered the question, Maria, ___ es bastante seria normalmente cantó en público ayer, with ,"la que".  It was marked incorrect, with "que" being shown as correct.  I thought they were interchange. 

Why is is teneis que hacer la compra and not tienes que hacer las compra?

Forgive me. The lesson explains this very clearly, but I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the idea that there is absolutely no difference in meaning at all between the use of el indicativo and el subjuntivo with quizá and tal vez. I had read elsewhere a lengthy discussion about how these two always triggered the subjunctive and a lo mejor always used the indicative. Most examples I've encountered seem to reflect this. I'm struggling to reconcile this seemingly conflicting information...

I was reading along and halfway through it struck me that I was understanding every word easily. Wow! I was so pleased with my progress and then . . . I realized I was reading the Background segment which is in English!!! ¡Qué avergüenza!

¿A alguien más le ha pasado eso? Oh well, back to the grind . . . 

And now, having read-along with the audio, and failed in trying to figure out where the text related to the audio, it's almost enough to make me grab a plane and head for Seville. Well, a little more vocab and I'll be hot to trot  . . .

My answer was marked " almost right" but you have the correct answer listed twice. Huh?

Hi!! I would like to ask a question. So I'm doing a presentation in Spanish and i want to use the present perfect subjunctive in the last sentence. I want to say "I hope you enjoyed my presentation". The dictionary says that it's "espero que les haya gustado mi precentación", but isn't "haya" the verb form for "usted" and not "ustedes"? Several people are going to listen to me, so I want to address them all. What do I say? Is it "espero que les hayán gustado mi precentación" or "espero que les hayáis gustado mi precentación", or is it the sentence I wrote earlier?
