Use of comma in punctuation.

Is there a lesson on use of the comma? For example, English would use a period instead of a comma in two places in this text, thus: between ...en la terraza and y puedo ver la Giralda; and between ...este desayuno andaluz and es muy sabroso...

We checked the text, and you're right, it was overusing the comma, where a full stop was needed.
