How is "peces" pronounced? Soft or hard "c?" It's hard in "pesces," and the recording says "peth-es," which I think is a European pronunciation. Thanks!

peces (fish in plural) is pronounced as [pe-thes] in Peninsular Spanish in general, and as [pe -sses] in Latin America (and parts of Southern Spain and Canary Islands)
