Most of the story is in preterito indefinido like I expected when telling about events that happened and concluded, but these two are in preterito imperfecto - is this because it can't be determined for how long they were broken/dirty (and that they may still be)?

For ¨People always want to give their opinion about everything.¨ my answer ¨La gente siempre quiere opinar sobre todo.¨ was marked incorrect and the correct answer was given as ¨La gente quiere opinar sobre todo.¨

In my dashboard test there are two correct answers using the future tense of continuar and seguir, but the English hint is in the present tense. Th e word “will” to indicate future tense is absent. Shirley.
