Usted form vs tu

Today i did  an A1 fill in the blanks quiz (Los Años Bisestos) which was focussed on the Present tense.  There was a sentence which read in English: « Now you know more about leap years »;  the student had to choose the correct form of the verb saber. I chose ‘sabe’ on the assumption that the relationship was formal.  This was judged incorrect; the ‘correct’ answer was ‘sabes’.  Surely either could be correct?

Hola Roseanne

Yes, you're right - this could be sabes or sabe, depending on the formality. I've now indicated that you need the "tú" form of saber, so it's clear. I hope this helps.

Gracias y saludos
