"riáis or riais"

Hola,

My trusty Collins dictionary [Seventh Edition 2014] agrees with your conjugation of "riáis" for the 3rd person plural subjunctive but "WordReference [and Spanish dict] both give riais. There is a banner heading in the WordReference entry which I think translates as saying that the tilde was removed in the 2010 reform of the RAE.

Is your version a typo or am I missing something?

Best Regards

John

Hola John

Yes, the accent used to be acceptable before 2010, but from 2010 the R.A.E (Real Academia Española) decided that it is not acceptable any more. I corrected the typo in the lesson.

Gracias

Inma
