The speaker "mispronounces" "tambíen" because he does not speak the "e" in it. He says it like " tambin". This is super confusing. I have never heard this before.

The narrator goes a little fast there, you're right, but also bear in mind that when we have a diphthong in Spanish, like here in tam-bién, when pronouncing that syllable the vowels blend a bit and it is more difficult to differentiate them. I think this is the case here, where the -e is a bit unnoticed.
