I scored 0 out of 60...but why?

I scored 0 out of 60...but why?

I am wondering how the scoring system works for this exercise. I transcribed many of the parts correctly with no error. Why didn't I receive any points?

Hola Shel L.

Thanks for your question, this is a really common point of confusion!

In freeform writing exercises, the system currently evaluates the answer as a whole, rather than awarding points for partially correct sections. So even if you got many parts right, a few key differences (like verb forms, word order, or missing elements) can result in a score of 0.

Also, these exercises are self-scored at the moment, which means they rely on matching the expected answer quite closely. That’s why it can sometimes feel a bit “all or nothing”.

I know that can be frustrating, especially when you can see you were mostly correct. The best thing to do is compare your answer carefully with the correction and look for small differences, they’re usually where the points were lost.

If you’d like us to take a closer look, you’re very welcome to send your answer via the helpdesk and we can go through it with you in more detail.

Saludos

Silvia
