Why a before bergamota?

One of the examples given is: "Nadie responde...lo mismo el restaurante ha cerrado."  Can you say the same thing and exchange "lo mismo" for "quizas": "Nadie responde...quizas el restaurante haya cerrado."?  

Perhaps it would be helpful with these various stem changing verb lessons to explain more clearly that the vowel changes only affect the vowels when they are in syllables that are stressed, rather than giving the impression that the nosotros/as and vosotras/os forms are just arbitrary exceptions. I think that grasping that makes it a lot easier to internalize the pattern than just trying to memorize exceptions without understanding why they work that way. 

This mini lesson didn't address the error I had made, which was to select "si" when I should have selected "cuando."

I have already emailed 3 times using "Contact us" but there was no response. How many time do I need to email you? I have already paid for 1 year subscription premium. The homepage does show the message that I paid for premium subscription, but the account still shows I am a free user and I still have the upgrade button showing on the homepage. 

Let me know what is wrong with my account. I am very disappointed by the poor customer service kwiziq. I am not able to use premium services even after 3 days of payment. 

A well-written, well-articulated offering but way too much resonance on the microphone creating a "booming" that makes it hard to discern words.

I don't understand how the above sentence can translate as 'They say that love conquers all'.  There doesn't seem to be a word that would translate as to conquer.

Or am I missing something?

kwiziq says prefirieron is incorrect and that it should be preferieron, but the lesson and internet says otherwise.
