Does this mean “since i am playing to be able to participate in the next Olympics”. If so is “el” before “poder” necessary or could it be removed and still be correct?

In the example, ¿"Una iglesia"? ¿Qué es eso?, why is it eso and not esa?

"It can be used in the singular, for example se tarda, se tardó or in the plural, for example se tardan, se tardaron. Se tardó dos horas en llegar. = Se tardaron dos horas en llegar. It took two hours to arrive."

So both examples mean precisely the same thing? Is there a situation where the meaning would change?

I think the spelling of the indefinido of creer should be "creyó."

In the test question: Después de mucho uso, la vela de cera ____doblada. I used “es” vs “está” as a bent over candle seems to be a permanent condition. Wouldn’t “es” be correct in this sentence also? Thanks

In a test I just did, for the above question, I added: "¿cómo está?" but it was marked wrong. 

I chose this, because in certain areas, children address their mother formally, so that is why I used the "formal" in this case.  i know it is not common, but the test did say, some or all may be correct.

Hello, Hope you, the team and families and friends are all well in these difficult times. I was wondering what the difference is if I were to say: "¿A qué trabajas? Since per the lesson this means: "If you want to ask someone what he/she does for a living, you can ask this way: ¿En qué trabajas? What do you do? (Lit: In what do you work?) I included "trabajas" in my reply, but it was marked as incorrect. Thank you for being there and helping out. Nicole

Hay and hace both seem to use nouns but they don't seem to be interchangeable.  I'm puzzled as to why, for example, it's hace calor but hay humedad.

Why is it soy cinturón verde and not estoy cinturón verde?  as being a green belt wouldn't be a permanent position.
