Hola a todos,
I think I’m right in saying that, “Uno debe cuidar bien a sus amigos...” means “One/you must/look after/care for your friends...”. Is ‘uno debe’ just an alternative to ‘se debe’?
I also wanted to ask about the use of ‘lo suyo’ in this passage. In the context here does it mean ‘it’s their thing/it’s up to them/ it’s their job to make me laugh...’?
I enjoyed this exercise, gracias! :)
¿Se usa "nosotros" para decir "today is ..." en todo el mundo hispano, o solo en españa?
Pati

Do I understand correctly that this sentence implies that it took today or even a short time ago?
If it is not part of a response or we use it as a response but not immediately after, we need "lo":"
I can see that if there is any preliminary statement in the response before a "No sé" is spoken then the "lo" should be added ("No lo sé"). But what does the phrase "If it is not part of a response" refer to?
Thanks,
John Nolan
No se puede viajar a ese país hasta que ________ seguro.
I don't understand why this sentence is translated as ... ('we' can't travel). Wouldn't it be podemos for *we* ? I thought *puede* was singular for he/her/it
I also don't understand why the answer is *sea* and not *se*
Can someone please explain.
For the phrase 'and he even gave his opinion', would 'y incluso dio su opinion' be an acceptable answer?
You should probably add this to the brainmap - I could only locate this by manually searching through the library
I don't understand why numbers written out in full rather than as numbers are regarded as incorrect. Siete = 7. Should have the option.
In this sentence "Yo le doy el periódico al portero ahora."
Why do you need "le" to say "I am giving the newspaper to the doorman?" Couldn't you say "Yo doy el periódico al portero ahora."
I am giving the newspaper to the doorman now.Find your Spanish level for FREE
