I learned Spanish in Mexico and this usage is not familiar to me. Is it more likely found in Spain?
Is "le" necessary? can I form the sentence without it?
Hola,
In the sentence "Therefore, time should be invested...", I answered "Por lo tanto, se debería invertir el tiempo" while the given answer is "Por lo tanto, se debe invertir el tiempo". Since the English sentence shows 'should', shouldn't 'se deberia' be more appropriate than 'se bede' which would translate to 'must' rather than 'should'?
Gracias,
Benhur
Hi Silvia. The phrase "expression of doubt" (I paraphrase) and the way it is used here seem ambiguous. How is it that according to the tests "creemos que" and "piensan que" don't express doubt; to me, since they don't express certainty, there is doubt. Likewise, how is it that "es impossible que" is followed by the subjunctive, when it expresses certainty that something is not possible. Please clarify. Thanks.
Do the brackets around “a” mean that it can be used at the speaker’s discretion, or its use sometimes or always required?
Could I have said, “Os animo que vengáis” or “Me han animado comprar un perro” ?
Hola,
I never received a reply to my 2nd question below, it starts like this:
"Hello Inma,
Thank you so much for your patience and reply.
I was wondering, is there a way I can find my questions and answers received within my page....."
see below for the full question, thank you.
Buenas team,
Just to confirm - we say: me gusta el chocolate, and we also say me gusta comer chocolate?
We don't say me gusta comer el chocolate?
The definite article is always removed when we have the verb there?
Muchisimas gracias,
How do I cause my recommended lessons and associated quizzes to increase in difficulty within a specific level, a1, for example? It seems that the quizzes I take and my recommended lessons do not increase in difficulty. I feel like I'm standing still. Even though my brain map gets greener all the time.
Thank you, James
Vosotros no ________ en el cine. You wouldn't fit in the cinema.(HINT: Conjugate "caber" in El Condicional Simple)cabríais
It should be: "El armario estará listo para ser usado todo el invierno."
Also any high-school Spanish teacher would wince at the sight of all those misplaced commas.
A suggestion from a native Spanish speaker: get your reading practice from somewhere else.
