I reported this as an issue, and perhaps should have brought it up here instead. For one of the quizzes, the answer is
A veces __me olvido de__ que llevamos casados 20 años. (Sometimes I forget that we've been married for 20 years.)
I noticed that the verb *olvidar* is being used intransitively and that, even though the "accidental se" is being used, that olvido is not in the third person. (It's not in the preterite / no accent on the o). I'm having trouble finding an example of this on the lesson page.
Thanks!
In the quiz, the statement was supposed to be correct: El director entregó un premio a los estudiantes.
However, the explanation seems to contradict that. Can you explain why?
It would be incorrect to use the pronoun with "a" on its own without the second short pronoun:
A mí diste muy poco dinero pero a ella diste mucho.¿A tí regalaron tus padres una moto el año pasado? The lesson was unclear on whether this sentence structure is colloquial, formal or written only. Kindly elaborate. Regards
Hola, I’m confused about the English translation, which uses the noun make-up (maquillaje in Spanish). However the Spanish uses the verb se maquilla, which I thought means to put on make up (Because of all the makeup she puts on..). Muchas gracias, Shirley.
Why "cada uno de april" versus "cada primero de abril"? How common is either form?
I said this phrase was incorrect as I though the a in ave would change the una to an un.
However I was marked wrong and apparently it is a correct phrase.
Is this another exception to the rule?
Good morning.
What is the difference in meaning between "Poder + estar + infinitive" vs "poder + infinitive"?
