In the sentence 'if my wife sees me dressed like that...', is the subjunctive vea acceptable since it hasn't actually happened yet?

Why is there an 'a' is this sentence? Is suerte considered a 'person' for the personal a to apply or is it an obligatory preposition after tentar?

So ¿cómo está? is an incorrect answer for a child?

Don't remember ever hearing that one, only that it is okay to use the informal version with them.

Also you site is jumping past questions when I give the answer to a previous question, I know I should notice but your site shouldn't do that either.

It's happened a couple of time and I think I've done well on a test only to find out I didn't answer a couple of the questions.

Also there are drop downs that don't show some of the answer and lo and behold one of them is apparently the correct answer, which only confuses me because I end up picking the best sounding incorrect answer.

Why is está used for the sentence La mahonesa está deliciosa?

Is it because they're speaking about that specific mayonnaise rather than mayonnaise in general?

I don't understand the following verbs. Where to use era, where to use fui?? Both are used in past tense.

Eg

Yo fui primero de mi clase el año pasado.

Here fui represents ' I was'

Yo era el más pequeño de la familia.I was the smallest in the family.
Here also era represents 'I was'.  Why can't we use fui here? What is the difference? Please clear me anybody..

I can tell you care about UX, so I would say there is too much clicking to move through this exercise.  Maybe you could save the grading until the end, and just move from point to the next, or you could at least take out the self-grading requirement to move to next. 

The lesson explanation says: Antes de que and Antes que are always followed by the subjunctive.

But several ‘antes de” sample sentences aren’t in subjunctive: 

So “antes de” isn’t just a shortening of “antes de que” but follows different rules?

In the Kwiz at the bottom, "usteden" is used. What is this form? I have heard of vosotros for "you all", or "ustedes" for "you" when speaking to a group. But "usteden" is new to me. Can you clarify?
