¿Porque usamos la expresión, "no esté aquí", en lugar de "no estoy aquí"?
¿Qué significa la palabra, "esté", exactamente?
¿es lo tiempo presente subjuntivo? después de más investigación, Yo pienso que significa, "would not be here".
Gracias, Jaime
Gracias por compartir esta canción. Me gusta mucho.
I had to use process of elimination to get the right answer - I couldn't see anywhere it references positively that you sometimes have to change the verb ending to que to go from se acerca to acérquese?
Do you have something to help with that?
Thank you!

Hello,
The lesson contains an example for this reinforcement:
Julián y Alberto se respetan el uno al otro.
It is not quite clear if it is gender dependent or not. If two ladies respect each other or a man and a woman, will the reinforcement change?
Thank you.
Hello, all these examples are in the form QUERER + INFINITIVE.
Would the translations be the same for QUERER + NOUN?
ex. I didn't want the free food. "No quise la comida gratis" or "No quería la comida gratis"?
Thanks.
Marcos
Hi, from previous discussions I understands there's no easy to identify "ser" and "estar", however may I confirm "en" must come with "estar". And if I see "a/al" it must come with "ir" (ir and ser have same El Pretérito Indefinido)?
Thank you, Hayley
Why is it "trae" and not "está trayendo"?
Doesn't it depend on what the speaker wants to express, whether a subjunctive or indicative of sonar would be used here? Wouldn't "Cuando suena" (indicative) also be a valid way to put it, if the speaker thinks about the event as actually happening?
Because if so, I wouldn't know which answer to pick in the quiz, because they were presented as alternatives.
Thank you!
