In several sentences, after I submitted the answer, it immediately went to the next question, without giving me an opportunity to see what I did right or what mistakes I made. Is that how it's supposed to work?

You should get either a correction or validation after you submit each answer. At that point you can give yourself a score based on how well your think your answer compares to theirs. If you didn’t get this there must be a problem. Saludos. John

Yes, as John said, every time you submit your answer you should receive feedback (at the top) comparing your answer to the correct one so you can see whether you got it correct or not. Could you try again and let us know if you don't get any message at all please? And make a screenshot of what you receive after submitting?
