I'm guessing that we can use other verbs of movement the same way?
Regreso a terminar mis estudios. (I came back to finish my studies).
Corro a comprar leche a la esquina. (I'm running to buy milk at the corner (store)).
Thanks.

Hola Marcos R.
Yes, your intuition is right. The structure verb of movement + a + infinitive is not limited to ir, venir or salir. It can also be used with other verbs of movement as long as they clearly express physical movement toward a purpose.
Your examples are correct:
In both cases, the verb of movement (regresar, correr) is followed by a + infinitive to express the goal of that movement. What matters is the idea of moving in order to do something, not the specific verb used.
Good observation and thanks for bringing it up.
Hasta pronto
Silvia
