For "I was shaking", is "estaba temblando" a valid answer? If so, is there a difference between "estaba temblando" and "temblaba"? Is there a time where it's more appropriate to use one over the other? thanks in advance!
I wrote a sentence using this format for a Baselang class and my teacher (from Venezuela) said it didn’t sound right except in the context of a list of excuses.
I wonder why a "to" is shown after "to tend." Since the examples have an infinitive after a conjugated "tend," it seems the extra "to" is superfluous.

Is this lesson demonstrating the use of the PRESENT perfect subjunctive after "esperar" or the PAST perfect subjunctive? If the former, why is it referred to as "Pretérito Perfecto Subjuntivo", if we ordinarily translate the word "pretérito" as "past"?

To phrase this question differently, when I use "haya", "hayas", "haya", etc. plus the past participle of a verb, am I using the Present perfect subjunctive, or the Past perfect subjunctive, or, in fact, is there another name, English and/or Spanish for this conjugation?
When used as a compound adjective, as it is here, "last minute" requires a hyphen between "last" and "minute," thus: "last-minute." When it's inside a prepositional phrase, however, as in "he found offers at the last minute," no hyphen is necessary.
