Why is "Ellos propusieron cambiar la ruta del viaje." wrong?

Why is "Propusieron cambiar la ruta del viaje." the only right answer?

pret indefinido progesivo versus imperf progesivo
Hi there........so, am I getting this right: these two examples are in pret indefinido because they have an ASSUMED timeframe in the speakers' mind?Nosotros estuvimos hablando con los periodistas.Ellos estuvieron arreglando el grifo de la cocina.

Definite articles

Why don’t buitres and águilas reales have definite articles? Is it because they are examples? It’s 50/50 for me with definite articles, I can’t see any pattern and the rules seem to change even after looking at the lessons!

i have two questions for this one first why there is an a after venir is it coz its 

equivalent to be able to ?

second why five is las not la five is a number singular thx in advance for the support gracias

Still ongoing action?I am confused that "have been waiting" is wrong, and "had been waiting" is correct.Based on this lesson, In Spanish we can use the verb llevar followed by a gerund (Gerundio) in order to express the duration of a still-ongoing action:
Llevábamos esperando el tren mucho tiempo." means:I couldn't wait for the train for a long time.We had to wait for the train for a long time.✔️We had been waiting for the train for a long time.✖️ We have been waiting for the train for a long time.

Can you give advice/commmands in Spanish with the conditional form of deber/tener que?

Can you give advice/commands in Spanish with the conditional form of deber/tener que?

In this lesson I see:

Si te gustan esos pendientes, deberías comprarlos.

If you like those earrings, you should buy them.

Si ellos son los responsables, deberían pagar.

If they are responsible, they should pay.


These are advice/commands. 


There is also the other lesson "Si [if] followed by present indicative + main clause [command/request/advise]".

What is the point then of this lesson?
