The test question is:
She feels that she is not progressing much at work.The answer is siente. This doesn't seem correct because:1. it is not followed by a noun
2. It describes a complex subjective feeling
In the sentence "He usually participates..." the hint given was to use solar + inf, however, the answer given by Kwiziq for that phrase was "Normalmente participar... Then, in the sentence "He usually wins medals" again the "hint" was to use "solar + inf" --- and the Kwiziq answer as "suele ganar..."
What was the translation of "usually" different in those two cases even though the "hint" provided was the same?

Nope. No real instruction can convey with clarity how to use the different past tenses in Spanish. This is just another attempt here to try and make it "clear." it is not.
Spanish fluency was a goal of mine, but really not so much any longer. Basically, because no one can really "instruct" on how to learn the language. The only way to learn it is to revert to "infancy" and just hear it spoken. So, move to a Spanish-speaking country or region and pick up what you can. Most disheartening thing I have ever attempted to do is learning Spanish.
Yup. Makes no sense at all. I also watched videos on youtube for "por v. para." Incomprehensible. Pretty soon, I will shelve Spanish. I have gotten to the point where it is a reality that I will not achieve fluency or really go beyond the basic, "Quiere sal?"
This is as lousy an application as Duh-lingo.
Daba escalafríos andar por el pasillo. Is there no need for "me" or "nos" or are they optional? "Me daba escalafríos"?
Can I ask you that when a thing and a thing (singular noun) or a thing and things (singular noun and plural noun)... followed verb "gustar" like listing, gusta or gustan is right?
For example:
1. Me (gusta/gustan) el chocolate y la golosina.
2. Me (gusta/gustan) el chocolate y las golosinas.
3. Me (gusta/gustan) las golosinas y el chocolate.

"Mi madre, esa mujer me la recuerda."
mean either one:
"Esa mujer me recuerda a mi madre." (similar)
"Esa mujer me recuerda mi madre." (brought to mind)

With "acordarse" we can't use "lo". You can use it with "recordar" though:
Yo no lo recuerdo.
With acordarse you can say:
Yo no me acuerdo de eso.

Is the following incorrect:
Yo no me lo acuerdo.
"dentro del seno de una familia catolica, (etc)" = within the bosom of a catholic family. Why pare down the literary parts to just the basic meaning of "to a catholic family (etc)"? The "dentro del seno" seems to indicate that he was born into a loving, caring family (O.K. plus wealthy and traditional!). But when we read Cervantes and Shakespeare aren't those literary embellishments what made them classics?
