Why do you not use the plural form of 'hay' when the subject 'muchas cometas' is plural?

The sentence 'Voy a aprovechar este trozo de tela para hacerme una falda', is repeated from an above example block, and doesn't match the intent of 'Sometimes we can use "aprovechar" with the same meaning as above but with no direct object.'

Maybe the example sentence at the bottom of the lesson was meant to be included: 'Al cancelarse la clase de español, los estudiantes aprovecharon para irse a tomar una cerveza juntos.', as it isn't shown elsewhere.

Just to confirm, although I think it is implied already - formal usage is with le/les?

I don't understand why "tanto" shouldn't be "tantas"  since it is an adjective that modifies "políticas como sociales" - please help? ( I read the section on use of "tanto, tanta, tantos, tantas")

I think I’m right in saying that, “Uno debe cuidar bien a sus amigos...” means “One/you must/look after/care for your friends...”. Is ‘uno debe’ just an alternative to ‘se debe’? 

I also wanted to ask about the use of ‘lo suyo’ in this passage. In the context here does it mean ‘it’s their thing/it’s up to them/ it’s their job to make me laugh...’?

I don't understand how 'debido a que' is a wrong answer in the test for this question?

Ella dejó a su marido ________ su mal humor y sus celos.She left her husband because of his bad temper and jealousy.

I guess it's because it's a combination of nouns (humor, celos) without any further embellishment, but it's confused me because of the explanation referring to a noun, rather than nouns plural:

"If we use debido a que, it can never be followed just by a noun, it needs a phrase."

The test questions given at the end of this section are as follows:

1.       ________ poner el despertador. He [accidentally] forgot to set the alarm clock.HINT: Use a construction with the verb "olvidar" that expresses an "unintentional action"

Correct answer given: Se me ha olvidado

Both examples feature an action represented by a verb that follows a form of olvidar. This is apparently an example of the accidental “se”. But the examples in this lesson use a different structure. The object forgotten is the subject of the sentence and olvidarse is conjugated with that in mind. It is explicitly stated that the verb is conjugated in the third person plural “to agree with the subject .”  That is not the case on either test item. Plus the test “hints” given are not useful for two reasons:  1) They ask that you use the verb “olvidar” instead of “olvidarse” (misleading) and 2) it says that the verb expresses an “unintentional action”; which is true of all forgetting , no? However, I think I could have figured out what was wanted If the sentence structure of the test item were not different from the lesson (e.g. in the lesson the thing forgotten was the subject of the verb).
