The sound stops halfway through this example:
Yo voy al gimnasio, no porque me gusta, sino porque debo perder peso.I go to the gym, not because I like it, but because I must lose weight.
It says ' Do you prefer to wait sitting or standing' and I had to fill in the gap for prefer/preferir.
' Usted prefiere esperar de pie o sentado?'
I don't understand how prefiere is the answer and not prefieres
I encountered this in a video:
John es estudiante. Roger es UN estudiante también.
Why does the article appear when también is added? Is this correct? If so, what is the explanation?
(Google translate also adds the indefinite article when también is used.)
Is there a reason that the verb tense is "buscaria" "reduciria" instead of "busca" "reduce" etc.?
How can I unsubscribe from Spanish and keep only French? Do I need to delete the account in the spanish section? I am afraid that will delete my French lessons too...
Thank you in advance for your help :).
In one of the questions, Cabrán is the very first word of the sentence, and there is no other part of the sentence (like a mid-stream capitalization. I was marked only partially right for capitalizing it and it "corrected" me to lower-case.
Cabrán todo mis libros en esa caja?
Isn't that correct? The quiz said it was supposed to be
cabràn todo mis libros en esa caja?
Hi Kwiziq experts,
In the phrase "Lo que más me gustó de la gastronomía local fue deleitarme con..." I wrote "Lo que más me gustó de la gastronomía local ERA deleitarme con..." I was marked wrong and corrected "era DELEITARSE con" and I'm not sure why that is. Is it down to whether one uses fue or era in the sentence?
Many thanks
Dee
thus declaring itself the Republic of Paraguay in 1813
The bot offers two possibilities:
1 .. proclamando así la República del Paraguay en 1813.
2 .. proclamándose de este modo la República del Paraguay en 1813.
I put ... proclamándose así la República del Paraguay en 1813. which was marked as an error.
Is there a difference in usage between 'así´ and 'de este modo'
Also, why is it la República del Paraguay but la República de Argentina ?
Gracias
