Mis amigos van a pagar una cena en un restaurante tailandés.
From what I understand, statements of emotion almost always trigger the subjunctive. Are there exceptions for past events with cuando? "I was happy that he came" gives imperfect subjunctive whereas "I was happy when he came" gives preterite.
If this is a rule, is it more general than cuando?
I am confused about the verbs 'oir' and 'escuchar'
Would it be "estoy escuchando music" o "estoy oyendo musica" are both correct?
Hi, being back after a few months, I noticed that all example sentences use indicative mood, while the one in the lessons was in subjunctive:
De habérmelo explicado antes, no me hubiera enfadado tanto.
Why isn't this conditional, ... no me habría enfadado tanto?
Hi Kwiziq experts,
In the phrase "Lo que más me gustó de la gastronomía local fue deleitarme con..." I wrote "Lo que más me gustó de la gastronomía local ERA deleitarme con..." I was marked wrong and corrected "era DELEITARSE con" and I'm not sure why that is. Is it down to whether one uses fue or era in the sentence?
Many thanks
Dee
In Thea question in the quiz, they give you the hint to conjugate hacer in el conditional simple which I did but my answer was marked as wrong. Can you explain why please? Thank you
How can I unsubscribe from Spanish and keep only French? Do I need to delete the account in the spanish section? I am afraid that will delete my French lessons too...
Thank you in advance for your help :).
One of the English sentences to translate were 'the Spanish colonization' but the answer was 'Pasando por la colonizacion espanola'. I think part of the English sentence is missing?
