Hola! Yo tengo una pregunta- agua is feminine but the sentence says “el agua es clara”. Is this an exception? Are there others like this? Thank you!
the lesson note wrote that due to english's influence, we do use en
then it says en can be used to mean within a time period such as en una hora = in, within one hour
is this use not recommended too? if so, what is the spanish correct way of saying within an hour etc?
It appears from your examples that “se” is optional, although I don’t see that explicitly stated. For example, “ Ayer me depilé las piernas.” doesn't have “se” in it.
¿Se puede usar solo "cuales" como pronombre relativo? ¿O se necessita siempre usa con el/la/los?
Are there lessons having to do with the pauses and intonation in Spanish speech? I guess I'm using English patterns to place commas and periods when transcribing spoken Spanish and am frequently wrong.
Good lesson. I like this concept of partitives.
Can we use "uno de" in place of "alguno de" to mean "one of"? Or is "alguno" only used in this context in Spanish?
Also, is there a list of partitives that use "de", such as "cada uno de" or "pocos de"?
Thanks!
In a quiz question (20% is a small number), why is the answer el "20 %" not accepted? The lesson seems to suggest that either that or El '20 por ciento" should be ok. Thanks.
Voy para la casa de mi amigo. Is the use of para in this case particular to Spain? IN Mexico and New Mexico(where I live) I'm pretty sure the sentence would use the prepossition "a" as in Voy a la piscina.
