Question 1 "Learn about CAR verbs"
______ por todas partes pero no lo encontré. I searched everywhere, but didn't find it. (Conjugate buscar in the preterito indefinido. I answered "busque," but was marked wrong. It gives busco for the correct answer for 1st person preterito indefindo.

Thanks for your question. You selected "buscó", which is the third person singular (he/she) form in the preterite, but the sentence requires the first person singular (yo) form, "busqué", as it translates to "I searched everywhere..."
Since "buscar" is a -CAR verb, it undergoes a spelling change in the yo form to preserve the sound, becoming "busqué" (not "busce").
You're on the right track, just watch for small form differences!
