There are too many people in my office.
Why is demasiada the correct answer and not demasiadas? Since we're using many in the English sentence.
Thank you.
Hi,
The two problems with use of English posted some time ago are still not fixed. Hence, I'm still struggling to get to grips with this lesson.
"If I went to the hairdresser's" in English means; "If I were to go". They are equivqlent.
Similarly. "If he had an accident" is equivalent to " if he were to have an accident".
In both cases, the first sentence is common usage. The second using the the subjunctive is very uncommon in everyday English.
Hello Inma,
The C1 level is surprisingly difficult because it focuses primarily on conversational Spanish with all its nuances, intentions, implied meanings and especially its idiomatic expressions.
James is a very happy camper! Go, Kwiziq!
Can you wait at the door?
Ustedes pueden .....etc
Why ustedes, ustedes = they
Is there a way reset my records to start over from the beginning of the course?
When I am finished with level CI I am going to want to repeat the entire course again because I am moving too quickly through the lessons and the idiomatic expressions are not making it to my long-term memory. I'm doing much better with verbs, pronouns, adverbs and adjectives. Also, I need to expand my vocabulary which might be difficult considering the fact that I have no real life need or occasion to communicate in Spanish. I am doing this for intellectual satisfaction not for any specific reason.
This is very important.
My test question asked for the El Presente Continuo - i’m new to learning Spanish and skipped the question as I thought I didn’t know how to tackle Continuo - only to find that when I selected “Explain” I was directed to the El Presente Progesivo, which I have studied. So are there the two descriptions for this grammar and should your lesson not say El Presente Progesivo or Continuo (for those, like me, who don’t always think outside the box) ?
In a test question, I answered “Nosotros nos llamamos Ana y Maria” and was marked incorrect, with “Nos llamamos Ana y Maria” offered as the correct answer, yet.......your lesson on reflexive verbs uses nosotros nos in an example. I am aware that the pronouns can often be dropped but I feel a bit cheated given it is used in the lesson example and not accepted in my answer in the test question.
Mi mujer se enfada, porque me equivoco y cargo muchos de mis gastos..
Try as I might, the word "cargo" in this sentence sounds to my ears like "tengo"
Is it a mistake or is it my hearing?
