I've been learning Spanish slowly for many years now, from taking classes, learning online, and speaking with native speakers.  My interactions in Spanish have been limited to Latin Americans, primarily due to the fact that I live somewhat close to the US/Mexico border.  In my previous learning, I've been made aware of the word "vosotros" but not much beyond that.  The conjugations I had previously been taught omitted the "vosotros" form.  I have also never heard the word "vosotros" used in any conversations.

I'm curious how common it is as the lessons I am going through have the conjugations for that form, as well as examples.  I'm not sure how much focus I should place on relearning conjugations for the vosotros form given my preference to learn Latin American Spanish.

Could someone please tell me why I was told it's wrong here in this quiz?

Kqiziq (B1): El año pasado visité todas las ciudades de Cataluña ___________ Tarragona (Last year I visited all the cities in Catalonia except for Tarragona). 

The options given: menos/sino/pero/aunque/incluso. 

I chose «sino», and I was marked wrong. The correct answer was «menos». I, of course, accept «menos», but why is «sino» wrong here??

As far as food, I looked for restaurants...    is translated as 'En cuanto a la alimentación'  or 'Con respecto a la alimentación'

This is useful language but I can't find any lesson that references this structure. Is there one?

The nearest I can find is 'Preposition + lo que + clause' which would lead to:  

En lo que respecta a la alimentación.  Is that possible?

What is the difference in meaning between using the imperative tense as in "Los jubilados acababan de ..." and the present tense as in "Ustedes acaban de ..."?

Contar bringing you to encontrar table is confusing me, as it shows yo encuentro instead of cuento which is the conjugation for contar

"Cuánto falta?" means "how much longer".

Can't it also mean "how much do I owe you?"

For example, if you're paying for something with cash and you gave them some bills but still owe them a few coins to reach the total..?  (how many coins are still needed?)

I wrote a sentence using this format for a Baselang class and my teacher (from Venezuela) said it didn’t sound right except in the context of a list of excuses. 

Por favor, la última oración usa la frase "Creo que", y yo creyó que normalmente se necesite usar el subjuntivo después esta expresión... ?porqué no es "Creo que mañana vayamos a buscar más accesorios"?

In the phrase, ". . . y lo peor fue el viento, ya que tenía miedo . . . ," why does it use preterite (fue) and then imperfect (tenía)? Aren't they both describing the same time frame?
