¿Quién es la Fallera Mayor de Valencia?

Spanish online reading and listening practice - level B2

Fallas Valencia's most spectacular, colourful and noisy celebration is Fallas, which takes place in March every year, culminating on 19 March: the feast day of Saint Joseph. The falleros and falleras are the people who belong to their neighbourhood casal faller, spending all year preparing for the celebrations and helping to create their falla (the flammable structure filled with fireworks that will be burned on the final day). They also parade in traditional local dress.  If you want to find out more about the festivities, take a look at our B1 reading and listening exercise with accompanying video:

This reading and listening exercise can help you practise El Presente de Subjuntivo, El Futuro Simple, and the position of adjectives.
