📕 Some useful vocabulary
Here are some of the key words from the podcast to help you get confident in this topic:
- una fecha = date
- el extranjero = abroad
- felicitar = to congratulate
- echar humo = to give off smoke / to be furious (literally “to throw smoke”)
- un dos por uno = a two-for-one (deal)
- el patrón = patron saint
- carpintero-a = carpenter
- el apodo = nickname
- padre putativo = putative father / alleged father
- estar de acuerdo= to agree
- abreviar = to abbreviate
- ¡qué curioso! = how curious / that’s curious / how interesting
- hace frío = it´s cold / rude
- caer en [date] = to fall on [a date]
- unas tortitas = some pancakes
- dispositivo = device
- ¡no me digas! = no way! / you don’t say!
