Verbos yo -go (presente)

The Spanish "yo -go" verbs

A small number of verbs change form to have -go endings in the present tense. 

In some cases only the yo form changes, but some are irregular in other forms too:
  • decir (to say) 
  • hacer (to do/make) 
  • poner (to put), suponer (to suppose)
  • salir (to leave/go out) 
  • seguir (to follow), perseguir (to pursue)
  • valer (to be worth/cost)
  • tener (to have)
  • venir (to come)
  • caer (to fall), recaer (to relapse)
  • traer (to bring)atraer (to atrract), distraer (to distract)
  • oír (to hear)

Here are some examples:

Yo hago la compra en el supermercado. (I do my shopping at the supermarket.)

Yo vengo de un lugar lejano. (I come from a far away place.)

Yo traigo unos regalos para tí. (I bring some presents for you.)

Yo tengo dos gatos y un perro. (I have two cats and a dog.)

Yo pongo los pies en el escritorio a veces. ( I put my feet on the desk sometimes.)

 Yo digo siempre la verdad. (I always tell  the truth.)
