When to use lo vs le
am getting confused about when to use le vs lo when used in conjunction with verbs. My understanding is that le is used to refer to him, her, and you formal and les for them, and that lo/la/los/las is used for objects
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Using los or las to say "the" in Spanish (plural definite articles)"

Hola Viha
That's correct but bear in mind that "lo, la, los, las" can also be referring to people, not just objects. If the direct object is a person, you use these too. For example:
Lo vi en el bar.
I saw him at the bar.
La vi en el bar.
I saw her at the bar
Lo/la can also refer to the formal usted masculine (lo) and usted feminine (la)
The same goes for the plurals los, las:
Siempre los ayudo.
I always help them (them referring to masculine plural)
Siempre las ayudo.
I always help them (them referrin to feminine plural)
I hope this helped.
Saludos
Inma
