Cayos means Quays?
Reading A1, Monuments, Tourism & Vacations, Listening or Seeing A1

Hola Carl E.
"Cayos" in Spanish refers to small islands or cays, often found in tropical regions like the Caribbean. It does not mean 'quays'.
If you are looking for the Spanish word for "quay" (a structure on the shore where boats dock), the correct terms are "muelle" or "embarcadero" depending on the context.
You are right that "llaves" means 'keys' in Spanish, but in some regions, "cayos" can also be referred to as "llaves" when talking about small islands (for example, Los Cayos de Florida are also known as Las Llaves de Florida in some contexts).
Let me know if you need further clarification!
Hasta pronto
