Why use the verb second person plural veis instead of ven when
there are 3 persons , Carol Jorn and tu as the subjects of the sentence.?

Reading B2, Monuments, Tourism & Vacations, Family & Relationships, Listening or Seeing B2
Vosotros refers to you plus two other people i.e you all.
If it was just the two people without you, the pronoun would be they i.e ellos ven.
Hola Annie
Yes, if "you" are part of the subject, that makes it a "vosotros":
Paula y Marta van al trabajo. (they go)
Paula, Marta y tú vais al trabajo. (Paula, Marta and you go [you all])
Saludos
