For the plural informal of "you have to do the shopping" why is it teneis and not tenian ?

Thanks for pointing this out. As you have Latin American Spanish as your focus, you may see the vosotros forms in our lessons, but you shouldn’t be tested on them.
Tenéis is the vosotros form used in Peninsular Spanish. With your LatAm focus, you would use ustedes tienen for the plural “you”.
