Hi, I had a question about the translation for "What should I do?". In this exercise, it said the correct translation was "¿Qué hago?", but wouldn't "¿Qué debo hacer?" also be correct?

What should I do?
This question relates to:Spanish writing exercise "A mysterious invitation"

Hola Richie
You're absolutely right that "¿Qué debo hacer?" is also a correct translation but we opted to use "¿Qué hago?" as the primary translation to keep the exercise focused and to limit the number of alternative answers.
This simpler form is commonly used in conversational Spanish and captures the essence of seeking guidance or deciding on the next action.
However, your translation is indeed accurate and appropriate in contexts where a sense of duty or necessity is implied. We've made a note of your insight, and we appreciate you bringing this up!
Saludos
Silvia
