Use of singular vs plural in Spanish

I was taught, rightly or wrongly, that use of plurals in English in this type of sentence is typically translated as a singular in Spanish. Please provide feedback on this.

Hola Carmen

I'm  not sure what you are referring to. This lesson is about how to form regular masculine and feminine nouns (those that end in -o and -a) - there are lots of different examples inside the lesson. Can you be more specific on which example you think that use of plurals in English and Spanish is different?

Saludos
