Querer que - subjunctive trigger
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Querer que followed by the imperfect subjunctive in Spanish"
Asked 2 years ago

Hola Ruth
No, if you wish something for yourself you then drop "que" and use an infinitive. For example:
Yo quiero que tú vayas a Francia.
I want you to go to France.
(subjunctive, as there are two subjects)
but
Yo quiero ir a Francia.
I want to go to France.
No "que" and no subjunctive but infinitive.
I hope it clarified it.
Saludos
