On the english translation "life long"

Joaquín va a estar soltero toda la vida.Joaquín is going to be single all his life long. The lesson has the above example. The phrase "all his life long" seems awkward to me in UK English. I would use "all his life", but "lifelong" as an adjective (he has been a lifelong bachelor). A Google seems to suggest "all [possessive] life long" is a phrase in some hymns and bible versions, but notmuch outside of that.
