I am dying of thirst

If I had answered, "Me estoy muriendo de sed" instead, would it be viewed as correct?

This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Conjugate stem-changing -ir verbs (o > ue) in the present tense in Spanish (El Presente)"

Hola David,

that would have been a grammatically correct answer:

Me estoy muriendo de sed.

Estoy muriéndome de sed.

But we wouldn't have considered it correct in this specific quiz because the hint is saying "Conjugate morir in El Presente", therefore we expect "me muero".
