Can that pronoun set be used as per previous lessons - el cual, los cuales, etc?
we can't use "el cual, la cual, los cuales, las cuales" in this case, when we mean "the one who/that..." if there is no antecedent. However if we have an antecedent and it is between commas, we could:
Aquella mujer, la que tiene el pelo negro, es la madre de Antonio.
That lady, the one who has black hair, is Antonio's mum.
Aquella mujer, la cual tiene el pelo negro, es la madre de Antonio.
That lady, who has black hair, is Antonio's mum.
Bear in mind, though, that using "la cual" in the second sentence will be simply adding a quality to the antecedent. In the first sentence using "la que", we are being more specific and making clear who we are referring to (that lady that you can see there who has black hair, not the other ones). So the intention of the relative is different.
