Translating "wide" > "ancho" or "amplio"
Thank you, Silvia, for the Weekend Workout exercise of 25th September entitled "Inclusive Language Debate" - It also taught me that there is a subtle difference between "amplio" and "ancho" >
In the following sentence, I [incorrectly !] used "ancha":
"... este debate refleja una tensión más amplia entre identidad y gramática"
/ "...this debate reflects a wider tension between identity and grammar".
I [think I] now see that "ancho/a" is applicable only when some sort of physical measurement may be taken?

[Our local Adult-education Centre has three female teachers and one male teacher (younger than the others). So the [Lady] Principal always 'reinterprets' the rule about pronoun-usage when she composes correspondence and notices which come from the School - and deliberately refers to her team using "nosotras !"]

Creo que esto debría leer "I don't believe THERE WILL ever be such a wonderful wedding as yours."
"Been" in English is a past tense verb. This is the subjunctive of the present tense.
Muchas gracias por esta historia de la letra ñ. Aprendí mucho y especialmente interesante era la información de la ñ en otros idiomas ---p.e., el gallego, el quechua, el filipino o el guaraní.
Saludos,

why the Castillan pronunciation of the letter S, if a Latin American Spanich language course?
what was my overall result on this test.
It would be helpful to see the translation, since there are some words that I do not recognize (and I am too lazy to look them up).

Este ejercicio es el primer interactive ejercicio que he probado. Lo disfruté, y sin duda haré más. Gracias. J
Hi, the final sentence which ends ".....o encontrar a alguien que también pase de estos juegos.". Is the subjunctive mode of the verb 'pasar' being used here because there is uncertainty as to whether a person one might meet does play these dating games or not? So if the indicative 'pasa' were used, the meaning would be changed to finding someone who definitely would play these games.
How do I skip the Spanish no one knows in Mexico. A que, for example as a confirmation.
Example given: Maria pidío dinero a Manuel - Maria asked Manuel for money. Why isn’t it Maria pidío dinero de Manuel? Would this way of saying it be acceptable?
