Notice how:

  • the stem of all forms changes from -u- to -ue-, except nosotros and vosotros.
  • the endings are the same as regular -ar verbs in El Presente de Subjuntivo.
  • the -g- changes to -gu-, to preserve the sound from the infinitive.

Mi madre no quiere que yo juegue contigo.My mother doesn't want me to play with you.

¡No juegues a la pelota en el patio!Don't play with the ball in the patio!

Está bien que ella juegue con su hermanito.It is good that she plays with her little brother.

¡Juguemos al escondite!Let's play hide and seek!

No me parece bien que vosotros juguéis con esos chicos.I don't think it's a good idea for you to play with those boys.

Déjalos que jueguen en el jardín.Let them play in the garden.

Les prohibo que jueguen en el casino.I forbid you to play at the casino. [you=ustedes]
