In everyday conversation, you’ll hear colloquial words like pasta, plata and others; they can vary depending on where you are in the Spanish-speaking world.

Very interesting podcast, I have heard most of these expressions but wondered where they came from. Definitely not something you learn in a regular Spanish class.
