Hi!! I would like to ask a question. So I'm doing a presentation in Spanish and i want to use the present perfect subjunctive in the last sentence. I want to say "I hope you enjoyed my presentation". The dictionary says that it's "espero que les haya gustado mi precentación", but isn't "haya" the verb form for "usted" and not "ustedes"? Several people are going to listen to me, so I want to address them all. What do I say? Is it "espero que les hayán gustado mi precentación" or "espero que les hayáis gustado mi precentación", or is it the sentence I wrote earlier?
Thank you in advance!!
I was recently given this sentence:
Eugenia (entender) ______ que no podamos ir.
I got it correct and know the form of "entender" to be used, but I have a side question: Why is "podamos" in the subjunctive here? Why not the indicative?
A recent Kwiziq question asked:
¡Camarero! ________ dos vasos de agua, por favor.Waiter! Can we have two glasses of water please?HINT: Conjugate "traer" in the usted form of El Presente Subjuntivo
The correct answer was : traiga
However, I learned to ask for things by attaching the I.O.P to the end of the imperative/subjunctive, for instance: 'Tráeme una taza de café' or, more politely, 'Pongame una taza de café'.
So I wonder if in this question 'tráiganos' might not be more appropriate, or sound more natural?
Hola todos
It's a new year and I'm determined to master the subjunctive this year. So, I just got this question in a Kwiziq test
"Conjugate the vosotros form of "hablar" in El Presente Subjuntivo (Don´t talk to me like that) : No me ___ así."
Now, I did get the correct answer by selecting 'habléis'. However, strictly speaking, doesn't this answer represent the negative imperative rather than the present subjunctive? Of course both give the same answer and I understand there are crossovers in conjugations between the two tenses. But can the two have the same meaning in this case?
