Is 'piso' used to refer to a flat only in Spain?

Yes, to refer to a "flat" we use "piso" in Spain ( in Latin America the word piso refers to the floor). As far as I know in some or most Latin American countries they use the word "apartamento" or "departamento" for "flat".
