I would like to ask how often is El Presente used to indicate future action in comparison to other future tenses?

Usage of this construction

Hola Emanuel
El Presente is very often used to talk about a future event as long as there is a time marker indicating future, e.g mañana, después...
I would say that for events that are far away in the future El Futuro is preferred:
Dentro de diez años estaremos bastante viejos.
This wouldn't sound quite right in the present tense.
Saludos
Inma
