tu vs vosotros in this sentence

Hi,

In an above question

¿ ________ curáis las heridas con algodón?

Do you treat your wounds with cotton wool?

My answer was Te,

however the right answer was ( os )

can someone please explain why vosotros is used instead of tu?

Hola Krystyn

This is "os" because it is referring to a "you plural = vosotros". You can see that the verb is "curar" and the form "curáis" is for the vosotros form. If we were referring to a you singular = , then the sentence would be:

¿ _Te__ curas las heridas con algodón? (Do you treat your wounds with cotton wool?)

However, I understand that this may be misleading if you only look at the English translation so I added a hint saying that we are referring here to a "you plural -vosotros".

I hope this helps.

Saludos
