Sigue caminando un poco más y verás una farmacia.
Hola Michele M.
In this sentence, the two verbs are using different structures.
“Sigue caminando” is an informal command (tú). It comes from the verb seguir and means “keep walking” or “continue walking.” The imperative form for tú is sigue.
The second verb “verás” is the future tense of ver in the tú form (you will see). It’s often used in Spanish directions to express something that will happen after you follow the instruction.
So the sentence is addressing tú and it means:
“Keep walking a little further and you’ll see a pharmacy.”
If we were using usted, the sentence would change slightly:
So the structure is consistent: the example simply uses the tú form for both parts of the sentence.
Hasta pronto
Silvia
