Prepositional phrases

i am having a hard time knowing which preposition to use ("of the", "by the", "from the", "to the", et al) 

Not to mention which indirect object pronoun goes before the other (She gives it to him in the morning "Ella se lo da por la mañana")?

Hola Gitana

As Marsha said, it's something that need to be studied bit by bit and it gets easier as you progress. I'd suggest to either have a look at your brainmap and maybe go back a bit to A2 and have a look at the lessons within Prepositions; you can add them to your notebook, study them and be tested on those. 

Here is also a link with lots of lessons with prepositions involved if you prefer it that way. You can do the same from here.
